Hey… Rebecca here again at Polished Concrete University! This week, PCU students traveled to South Florida from California, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Ohio, Maryland, North Florida, and the Bahamas to learn about epoxy floors & countertops and epoxy artwork. Let’s take a peek at what’s happening at Polished Concrete University…

PCU students practice spreading HP Spartacote’s Polyaspartic pigmented base coat and broadcasting quartz. Quartz and flake are perfect systems for garage floors, commercial kitchens and back of the house spaces. Robert’s Tip: Use carpet padding to keep countertops or artwork stable while working with power tools.

Robert demonstrates basic carpentry skills for routing countertops and artwork. PCU student’s learn the importance of exact measurements to ensure proper epoxy set up and avoid problems. Students are encouraged to jump in and hone their new skills whether learning epoxy countertop & floor systems or creating pieces of epoxy art.
