October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we at PCU honor women for their strength and determination. Additionally, we would like to recognize professional women in pursuit of their goals. This week’s featured guest instructor, Ashley, from Ameripolish offers expertise on their products. Women students participate in the floor stencil lesson as Ashley demonstrates Ameripolish’s SureLock Dyes. Robert’s tips: Measure carefully. You only get one chance to apply the stencil. Let’s see what Robert is up to now…

Robert demonstrates the two step grind/stain and seal system while students gain hands on experience in the shop. This system is an economical alternative to the full 10 step mechanical polish system. In this process, a minimum of two metal bond diamonds are used to cut the surface in order to “clean” prior to the option of adding a decorative dye such as Ameripolish’s SureLock Dye followed by a topical or penetrating sealer. The two step grind/stain and seal system is popular with tenants of warehouse spaces and a great choice for customers that want a good looking clean floor with moderate life expectancies.
